About

Welcome Dear One!

I started innerswim because I know what it’s like to feel deeply disconnected and overwhelmed. I dreamed of a life in which I felt at home within myself, and I followed the intuitive nudges to bring me back. I am now a passionate & intuitive guide for others on their journey because of where I have been and who I have become as a result of the journey so far.

As a highly sensitive (HSP), neuro-divergent person I grew up feeling like I never quite fit in with the status quo. I often felt ‘too emotional,’ misunderstood and easily overwhelmed. This led to a lot of pain, frustration and disempowerment. When I didn’t know I was highly sensitive, I would unconsciously absorb the energies of others. All of my relationships suffered because of this, but mostly, the relationship I had with myself.

To be highly sensitive essentially means to have a heightened awareness of subtle energies. We all have the ability to work with, sense and harmonize our own body & energy system. It’s our birthright to be sensitive, relational and feeling beings. And it’s been my experience that uniting the subtle with the physical is where all of the magic happens.

Along my yoga journey I’ve gathered some really simple yet powerful tools for healing, nurturing and expanding all aspects of oneself for complete transformation and homecoming, especially for women. I started innerswim so that I could share them with as many people as possible.

To me, practices like yoga and energy work should support & work with your life in a real, raw and embodied way. They offer you the space to truly create a harmonious home within you, so that you feel at home in the world and in your life again.

When I was struggling with depression and anxiety, I tried blaming others and my situation, but that didn’t seem to help. I tried controlling my environment and other people, but that didn’t work either & only caused deeper frustration. I tried numbing out, distracting myself and forcing myself to change, but that only left me feeling empty and more disconnected from my authenticity…

I knew I had to turn my search inwards. It took some time for me to discover the tools that were going to empower me to live in harmony with my nature and transform my biggest pain points into sources of power.

Oftentimes, our pain points are really a doorway to our freedom.

I know what it's like to feel deeply overwhelmed, overstimulated & disconnected from myself. It was seeing 'that side of things' that ultimately revealed the pathways back home within. My mission now is to do all that I can to empower you to dis-cover your own inner pathways back to freedom and power, so that you never have to feel unrecognized, unseen or misunderstood by the person who matters most: You.

The Feminine (earth-honouring), heart-centered and energetic approaches to these practices have always most resonated with me. Consciously connecting with our home and the elements feels most healing & nurturing for my spirit, and uplifting for my energy. The more connected I am, the clearer it feels to be in my body, my mind and my heart.
It’s like putting myself into focus.

Yoga is not just a practice, but a way of being in the world.
For people with wombs, there is also a special kind of inner yoga that comes through as we align with our female body & cyclical nature.

A few years ago I began consciously connecting with my womb world and her cycles and experienced a massive awakening shift. Through menstrual cycle awareness I was becoming conscious of a wild intelligence, a creative & intrinsic power, unfolding within me through my wombspace. And as I tuned into this power, I began re-learning how to read the language of my inner rhythm, my energetic patterns, and the voice of my Feminine soul. This is a womban’s embodied inner yoga – a pathway to access our creativity, physical and psychological wellbeing, and evolution – and it’s already encoded within us.

With this remembrance I dove into the practices that joined my natural inner rhythm with the rhythms of the earth and cosmos. This was a harmonious homecoming. I felt I had truly plugged into myself again, and the pains I experienced throughout my cycle (physical & emotional) were gradually beginning to dissolve as well.

As the dissonance started to fade out,
my intuition, creativity & authentic expression were fed.

It’s been a healing journey beyond my wildest imaginations,
and it’s only the beginning.

It’s important to mention that this sense of homecoming was born out of a profound disconnect from myself and my body, which led me to seek holistic healing in the first place. I believe, and have witnessed time and time again, the way disconnect, discontent and pain are often some of our best teachers.

The more I connected with my feminine nature, the clearer the guidance became to dig deeper within: to peer beneath the surface and discover the wisdom and power that is already within. I didn’t know it then, but an ancient way of being was calling to me; a sacred wildness and intelligence as ancient as the earth herself. My blood seemed to remember it, and my soul yearned to unleash it.

This is our blood wisdom.

Womben are wildly powerful...

I’ve chosen to focus my healing services (see below) on our wellness at this time because I witness 2 powerful phenomena unfolding together now: many of us are hearing the call, and we are simultaneously seeing all of the ways we have been ‘put asleep’ to our truth, and the consequence of that disconnect. What we’ve been disconnected from is our wild Feminine power, and this manifests in countless different ways. Fortunately, many of us are now answering the call to come back home within our own bodies and in relationship with the earth herself.

I know that the tools, practices and awareness that I've gathered throughout my journey so far can provide you authentic guidance so that you can unlock your own inner pathways back to health, harmony and liberation.

We are healing together.

I’d never pretend to have all of the answers; so much of life is made of mystery. But I do know many women can relate to my experiences and this fuels me to share my story. Everyday, I continue to dive deeply into the subjects of yoga, women’s health, Feminine spirituality and conscious energy work and am so fortunate to have a ‘back body’ of amazing teachers + guides. My heart is here to help bring us home to our sacred wild selves: our nature, our essence and innate wisdom…
Now is the time, and there is a way.

For womben, inner harmony is possible through a respectful acknowledgement of our inner nature, our cyclical bodies, our authentic energy signature and our relationship to the earth & cosmos at large. This is the foundation for our well-being + liberation on every level.

This intention to cultivate inner harmony is the foundation of innerswim.

With the current state of our earth, there is a sense of urgency for us to remember our loving relationship to our outer environment. But we can perhaps most wisely begin with the inner one. We are being called to slow down and listen; to return to the roots of our being.

These are, for me, some of the most important rememberings right now: to slow down + radically commit to nourishment in a fast-paced culture; to remember sensitivity, creativity and intuition as gifts and birthrights; to reclaim our sovereignty and authority over our own bodies and inner environments; and to allow ourselves to live in health, harmony and our authentic energy.
I share with you the practices, tools + rituals that have been my greatest boons.

“…to remember sensitivity, creativity and intuition
as gifts and birthrights;
to reclaim our sovereignty and authority over our own bodies…
I share with you the practices, tools + rituals
that have been my greatest boons.”

Over my years of devoted spiritual and holistic practice I have been blessed to cross paths with some of the most respected teachers & leaders of today:

Sharon Gannon & David Life (co-founders of Jivamukti Yoga), Dr Uma Dinsmore-Tuli (author of Yoni Shakti & co-founder of the Yoga Nidra Network), Shantree Kacera (registered herbalist and PhD, founder and co-director of The Living Centre), Maryam Hasnaa (spiritual teacher & Priestess), Rima Rabbath (Advanced Jivamukti Yoga teacher), Kenneth Jover (master energy practitioner), Krishna Das (bhakti yogi), and Alexandra Pope & Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer (co-founders of Red School and co-authors of Wild Power: Discover the Magic of Your Menstrual Cycle and Awaken the Feminine Path to Power)  to name a few. I’ve had the blessed opportunity to spend hours both training with and immersing myself deeply in the teachings of these beautiful beings, and it is through their generosity that I am here, doing as I do.

I currently live in Ontario, Canada, where I offer holistic services to my communities online + offline, while co-creating the herbal e-shop Sun Powered Soap Co. I love to write, move and breathe in alignment with my menstrual cycle and be in communion with the plant world.

I offer you my humble heart and experience with the very sacred practices of yoga + Feminine spirituality. Living in alignment with the rhythm of life is at the core of all of my offerings. This is Divine Feminine power + presence, and I am in service to this energy as it lives through you, me and all beings.
